Summer Fun List

Okay, first of all, you should all go back and look at the Aspen Grove post again.  I just added a ton of much better pictures, courtesy of two good friends who brought their nice cameras along!

The middle of summer continued very much like the beginning.  Connor went to Cub Scout Day Camp, where they studied space-related stuff and earned belt loops for a week.  Evan finished up his last day at Little Gym camp, and Elise stayed home with me and baked cupcakes all by herself (I gave directions, and put them in and out of the oven, but she did everything else!)  Corinne started standing alone, and got into lots of mischief.
  

Evan made a Frisbee at camp.  Or maybe it was a flying saucer?

"Getting Dressed" is one of Corinne's favorite games.

I found Binny sitting in this mess.  She opened a sealed jar of salsa and ate it.

 

She didn't seem to think it was too spicy.

Lydia can't read, but Evan doesn't know that.   

  
At the beginning of the summer, I copied an idea I saw on Pinterest and let the kids make a Summer Fun List.  I'm usually really bad at finding time for fun projects and outings if they're not scheduled, so this legitimized our summer plans.  We did pretty well checking stuff off!
   

We rode bikes at the beach.  The kids needed a break, I guess.

Ryan's sister Helena was able to join us for our bike ride!

More Trips to the Beach - Corinne's a surfer chick!

Evan wanted to ride the bus, so we took the Beeline to the mall one Saturday!
