Evan Turns Four!

We were super busy during the week of Evan's birthday.  On Saturday, my dad took the train home, and the kids spent the afternoon sliding down the mountainside in our backyard. It was one of those mom moments where you have to decide between safety and wholesome adventure.  Surprisingly, nobody got hurt.

Sunday was Corinne's first day in nursery!  I left as soon as she was distracted by toys, and she did great.  It was fun to peek in and see such a miniature person eating snacks and sipping out of a dixie cup.

Monday was Evan's big day, so we did presents and a big Porto's cake.

Good morning, 4-year-old!

New Pajamas!

We had Joy School on Tuesday and Thursday, and Evan's birthday party on Wednesday morning.  He didn't have a specific theme request, so it was basically just crafts and games and cupcakes.  The "build-your-own" cupcake bar seems to go over well every time we do it.

Evan's friends brought awesome presents.

After the party, Corinne got stuck in this flower pot.  Ryan's photo.

Wiley is not allowed on the couch, but apparently he didn't see me in the room.

Friday was Valentine's Day, and Ryan and I celebrated by going to see Bill Cosby in Pasadena.  Lousy picture, but it was a great show - he performed for over two hours!

We were supposed to leave the next morning for our trip to Utah, but we were all too tired.  We packed all day Saturday and left Sunday morning instead.
