February

About a week after Evan's actual birthday, he had a party at The Little Gym.  This was the second year in a row he requested this, and I didn't argue.  It's fun, runs out their energy, and doesn't require me to clean my house.

One Saturday, we went with our friends, the Jepsens, to Newport Beach.  They moved to Orange County last year, so it's fun to get to see them occasionally.  The kids had a great time looking in the tide pools and exploring a disgusting drainage culvert!

Elise and Evan competed in a concerto festival, with their teacher as accompanist.  They both worked really hard to prepare and got excellent scores!  Also, we continued with theory classes and lessons.  Even the little kids had their own mini theory class in the basement.

"Little Kid" Theory Class

Ryan started showing the kids old Bob Ross videos in the evening, and they were surprisingly into it.  That show would never exist today, it's too nice!

Cocoa, Elise's second bunny, was finally old enough to come home with us.  We kept the bunnies separate for a week, then, after a few days of adjustment, they became best friends.  Such silly-looking animals.

Cute other stuff:

Corinne had fun at Luke Parkin's "Piggy and Gerald" party.
