Here are some of the other shots we got of Evan...
The next day was Connor's 13th birthday! He requested an Oreo Pie, and got a bunch of video games as gifts (I've forgotten which ones.) It was also the Certificate of Merit written test day, which Connor thought was pretty unfair. My mom was able to come back to our house for a few hours to celebrate (she had moved the RV to a dog show spot in Pomona.) We kept an eye on the roads to know when it would be safe for her to attempt the drive home to Utah.

As an official eight-year-old, Evan got to go to Cub Scouts with Ryan. He wore Connor's old shirt (with the badges taken off,) which was pretty huge on him, but he didn't care. He was so excited!
To please my children, I once again participated in the Secret Leprechaun activity for St. Patrick's Day. I was a little better organized this year, and our doorstep gifts didn't look too bad.

Aunt Helena gave the girls a vintage American Girl Doll (Samantha, I think,) and a bunch of really beautiful doll furniture and clothes. The little girls spent hours playing tea-party with everything!
For spring break, Ryan arranged a Brian Head ski trip with my whole family! I took the little girls up a couple days ahead to visit with Grandma, while Ryan stayed behind so Connor, Elise, and Evan could do their CM performance tests. When they left on Saturday afternoon, they helped Ryan's Home-Teachee move himself and his stuff to Las Vegas. They didn't expect quite so many boxes!

This loose tooth hung on for at least a month! |
We spent a few days just visiting and having fun before driving down to Brian Head. We were able to get adult and child ski lessons for everyone except Ryan (he was insulted by the idea of needing a lesson, and he snowboards anyway.) Kelli's niece came up from Saint George to babysit Celeste and Arya, so we could all be there together on the slopes. (It was really everyone - Kyle and Kelli's family, our family, Kevin and Liz, and Mom.) My mom had such a great time, she ended up buying her own skis, gear, and a season pass a few weeks later! The second day was just the Browns, but it was too cold and rainy to ski, so we relaxed and played in the snow.

Last-Day "Helper" Payments |
I started using an app called Daily Verse for my (nonexistent) scripture study. It's helped me find just a few minutes a day to think about Gospel stuff and feel the Spirit, and I love it! It gives you a coordinated daily scripture, quote, hymn, and video. This one really reminded me of what my goals are as a parent.
My kids are crazy. 60 degree water and the first swim of spring!
Our Easter week was busy but great. We did our Story Egg hunt, made treats, decorated eggs, went to the church egg hunt, found Easter Baskets (Easter was during General Conference this year,) and eventually made it out to Forest Lawn for our resurrection FHE.

Our piano teacher invites her students each year to a post-Easter water fight and meal. Apparently it's a legitimate Polish thing that is actually called "Smyngus-Dyngus"!

We took all the kids to an "LA Philharmonic Symphonies for Youth" concert. It was different selections from Pictures at an Exhibition alternated with a lot of dialogue and short, local student pieces. They all thought it was pretty fun.
We only had one bunny now, but Celeste continued to love sharing greens with her.
